I switched my to QV drives and rotors. I have two used rotors for sale at $60 each if you need them for your 81-82.

I found out this week that it is possible to retrofit the QV rotors to a 80 -82 2 valve car. From what I understand the cam has to be removed to access the set screw of the "piece" the attaches to the rotors. Bill at GT Car PArts explained the procedure to me.

Hello all...

As I posted awhile back, I still have a brand new pair of the white plastic rotors from my 308QV...
$105/pair with shipping in the US.

If you're interested, drop me a note...and there yours.

Regards,
David

Michael, I also live in San Diego. What shop did you get your rotors from?

Thanks Steve, but that is not it. Someone posted that they changed out the old rotors for ones with the wider tips to get better contact or phasing as you said here. But this is what I was talking about using the wider tip rotor anyway.

I used the (US) QV dist rotors 124288 (unmodified) on my ex-carbed (US) 308 so I'd be very surprised if they didn't work on the (US) 2V-i's as well.

Will the later QV rotors work with some modification in the 2V injected models?

The more desirable, wider end (so phasing is less critical) 308 dist rotor is F PN 124288

I think the thread made mention of the rotors giving better contact because they were wider at the contact point, since the old ones were so narrow.

I had to replace a rotor for the 77 a few years ago and recall at the time I purchased a later model 308 rotor and had to file the tip down because it was to wide. You may want to try this.

Seemed to me there was a thread on here RE: that there was a replacement rotor to replace the old orig. one. It had a wider contact on the end of the rotor. That has been some time ago so it would be in the archives. It maybe that the later model rotors were used instead.

Ed--do you have a Digiplex for an '85 308? I might need one. If so, what would the cost be?

I spent months trying to find rotors, Miller had a few a few months back, but they are by and large history. But for a mear $1500.00 you can have a direct fire ignition (my next upgrade); from posts past it seems to be the way to go.

Am I to understand that ignition rotors arent available anymore for a 308? Im assuming you havent tried the dealer and mean nobody makes an aftermarket one.
