Thanks for the reply. This stuff is heavy. The struts are one thing, but the weight on the fiberglass lid worries me more. I am afraid that the constant vibration with the extra load will lead to cracks. I guess time will tell.

That's wierd. I just replaced mine with an extra piece that Scott had/sent me (Thanks again by the way!)

It looks excellent, and although it feels heavy, my struts still held up. Perhaps your struts have worn out? Get it re-pressurized or new ones?

It makes it look much "cleaner" than the original foam, maybe it's the shiny reflective look. I like it.

The foam is rather heavy, but it should hold without a problem. That glue is damn sticky and a b*tch to get off, I sugguest leaving it and get the structs fixed.

Scott - I followed your lead and added the JC Witney foam to my TR. HOWEVER, this stuff is VERY heavy. I am concerned about the weight on the fiberglass lid and mounting points. In fact, I have noticed spider crackes in the paint at the mounting point. Is your foam heavy? The struts can no longer hold the rear engine deck up!!!

I am tempted to take it off, but dread the process of cleaning the spray glue from the under side of the lid.

Is the weight of concern to you?
