All I know is that on the 3 308's I had, they were black and the 2 328's are red and a different size. Either type is prone to shorting out. Dave |

Charles, Bret is correct about the tele. no. of G.T.. They have always had the best prices. I got eight extenders for my 79 carbed 308 GTS,which were black. I paid about $8.00 ea. about a year ago. |

The red wires should not be confused with the red extenders. Actually, the wires are black with red plastic shields. The red extenders are resistor-type. It is my understanding that they came on 328's. They will work on earlier QV's, as evidenced by Charles' Mondial. |

308QVs have red extenders. Carbed 308s have the ones with the black rubber boots, I think 2v injected 308s are like the carbed ones. The 4 valves have the red ones though I'm sure. I have GT Car Parts number as 1-623-780-2200, I never call them though. Try AW Imported Auto 1-800-392-6833 also, TRutlands (www.trutlands.com). |

All - my '84 Mondial Cab. (308 QV) started running a little rough so I replaced the plugs and noticed that one extender was shorting and another was cracked. The extenders on the front bank were all RED with 0 resistance. The back bank had all BLACK extenders with 0 resistance (the black were about 1/4 inch shorter). Which are the correct ones (RED or BLACK? - Short or Long?). I read in a past thread that the BLACK are for 308s and the RED for 328s - is this corect? I'm using NKG BP7EVX plugs. Also, I noticed in past threads that GT Car Parts was mentioned as having good prices - does anyone have their number? |
