I've never tried to haul my Ferrari, but on my RX7 race car I use axel straps in the rear. They just wrap around the axel and rear sway bar. In front I have two tow hooks, but I'm sure you could use the axel straps there too.

I was just recently exposed to axle straps. These are small straps with eyes at each end. Run the straps around the A arm in front and the frame at rear. These will extend your area for attaching. I have a 308, I hope this works for your 400i.

Are there any points behind the bumpers, under the car, where you have access to the frame?

The other option is to secure each tire/wheel with the straps. This may be your better alternative.

My 1982 400i does not have any tie down points or hooks of any kind to hold the car on the trailer. Aside from tire straps does anyone have any suggestions for where to secure the car?
