Beautiful wheels and car, Bruno. I am expecting to get my Mondial back in a few days. Fingers crossed.

Bruno is of coarse right if your looking for concourse quality. However, I have done several different types of wheels using the aluminum paint followed by a clear coat and they really did come out looking fantastic. I used aluminum paint from a spray can but shot the clear from my gun. I want to make sure I had a catalyst hardened clear so it would be more durable. It lasted longer than I owned the car...

Powder coating is easier to get done and much cheaper now than it was back then though.

Henryk,
Back in the 80's I did a set like that.I even got the correct spray paint from Ferrari. They lasted for a while then the edges started to go. But most off all you are not protecting the back and inside of the wheel. These wheels have been known to leak air through the rim. The inside of the wheel is as important as the part you see.JMHO

I refinished a set of 308 wheels, when I had one 15 years ago. I hand sanded the wheel, sprayed with a can of aluminum paint, and then with a clear coat.......looked GREAT!!!!! Total cost was about $30 for all four wheels. I even did this with the tires on. I did take great care to mask it off properly.

Keystone automotive. They mounted and balanced. They have a tire machine where the tools never touch the wheel. I live close enough to drop both tires and wheels off to them.If you have to ship you would not want to ship mounted tires due to expepense. They are national with branches all over USA. I paid $125.00 per wheel complete.

All this talk of bad wheel refinnishing jobs prompted me to post correctly done powder coated wheels. I dont recommend anyone just strip and paint these wheels as they are to porous and need to be powder coated and baked. And I threw in a couple pics of my car.
