Joel, Be sure now because they can get pushed up behind that small overhang of the console. You might want to remove the phillips head screws from under the clock, oil temp console piece and check that it isn't caught where the console meets the lower part of the dash. |

Joel, On my 79 GTS the cable is located up under the clock and oil temp part of the dash on the drivers side at the steering column. |

Yes, the 308 has an emergency hood release cable for just this contingency. It's a plastic covered finger loop up above the hood release lever. It comes out where the bottom of the little bin joins the body, & is often tucked under the toop edge of the carpet where you can't find it unless you know it's there. |

There are two cables on my 328, the regular one and one up under the dash on the LH side right near the corner. Maybe the 308 is the same? |

Last night when I was working on my clutch cable replacement I tried to open the front hood. Guess what. The cable broke to the opener. Anybody ever replaced this? How do I open the hood with out it? I seem to recal in the owners manual some other means to open the engin hood but I dont recal the front hood. I guess 25 years is the age to replace all cables. I think God wants me to go to Ferrari cable replacement school. Thanks for your help. Joel |
