Peter -- the Prothane brand anti-roll bar bushings (from J.C.Whitney) are a (red) polyurethane material -- the steel brackets are a golden (alodine?) finish -- if they havent changed lately. See:

Italiancarparts.com has $99 on their website. I know others would be cheaper, but I'm sure not $9.95. Quite honestly, I didn't even bother to check.

Doug -- what was/is the (recent) OEM part price for comparison?

Changed my '84 308 sway bar bushings yesterday. Used JC WHitney as Steve had mentioned in an earlier thread. Pt# 859777 (1 pair) for a grand total of $9.95 plus $6.65 shipping. Pretty easy fix. Replaced them without even jacking the car.

If you've got the OEM parts, it just a direct bolt-in exchange. If you've got the aftermarket parts (with mounting slots instead of holes) you just need to make sure that the bar is centered between the mounting studs when you tighten the mounting nuts.

Changing the bushings should take no longer than an hour. U should jack the car up to make the job easier, in fact I'm not sure if U can skip this. I do not think changing the bushings will affect the alignment!

I'd like to know the procedures too. Anybody like to share? As for the alignment, I think it is worth to get it done again after the changes

Is replacement of the rear sway bar bushings as easy as it appears? Any specific process to doing it? Does changing the bushings affect the alignment?
thanks
