Doug, I had one and the same thing happened to me. What I did was take the top off of the unit and where the buttons are, you should find small foil or shim plates which spring back when they are pushed. The button may be stuck down in one position and won't return,as it was in my case, or corroision could have formed on the printed circuit under the foil plate. Hope this helps. MAGOO |

My '84 has an old Whistler Spectrum with a bumper mount. The interior piece has 3 buttons: on/off, volume, and filter. Recently I lost the volume to it and can't figure how to get it back. All three buttons are a simple on/off type push type. Anyone familiar with this unit? When I first got the car it worked fine and then I must have pushed some buttons. |
