I had the intent to swap thermo sensors and when I pulled of the 7-12 thermo sensor it was cracked almost in two, right in the middle of the sensor. The 1-6 looked better, no cracks in it yet. So with the cats comming off no need for the Idiot
1-6 7-12 lights right? Well insted of shelling out 1000 bucks to replace the thrmo and box has anyone replaced the idiot lights with a real EGT gage? That is all the Idiot lights are RIGHT? I used egt gauges all the time when I used to Fly piston powerd air planes. They normaly read 100deg-1900deg. You can get a dual gauge and new sensors for about 300.00-500.00 and the new sensors will go right in the old hole in the exhaust. The manual says the light goes on at 1600deg or so (I think) whatever the deg. you will always be on top of things with an egt gauge. If anyone has done this please let me know.
Thanks
