Maybe take the lines off and blow compressed air through the cooler, possible restriction. I'm sure you have thought of that, but just in case.-------MAGOO |

Hey Magoo. Yeah I have all the rubber mounts on, they are in good shape. I have been out of town, so I have not had a chance to look at it. I will mess with it this weekend and let you know. Maybe it will just heal itself like half of the other things do that happen to it :-) |

Tim, the oil cooler has rubber mounts. When you removed the cooler I guess you put it back with the rubber mounts. If you did maybe the old ones are too hard and are tranmitting noise which you didn't notice before. Might want to check em. MAGOO |

anyone ever have a problem like this on their 328/308. I had my engine out this winter and am working the final bugs out of it. When car is totally warm and idle is low, the oil cooler is humming. At first I thought something was rubbing - but I have narrowed it down the a noise/vibration that is in the oil cooler and the two lines going to it - the filter is quiet and does not vibrate. Any suggestions? Cooler and lines are not touching against anything. |
