Magoo, I got it to seal properly now, I hope. I moved the clamp down over the raised portion of the metal tube, and crank down on the clamp some more until tight. If it still leaks, I will get some 2.25" Gas Hose from Napa that is all rubber and pliable to conform better to the metal tubing. Let's see how it works out the next time I fill up. |

Mitchell, I can't give you the diameter of the hose but I can tell you if it is leaking there is a potential fire hazard if the gasoline hits the hot manifold. |

Does anyone know the Inside Diameter of the straight 1-ft long filler hose from the filler tube to the gas tank on a GT4 1975 model? I need to get a better sealing hose. Mine is not the correct hose and the wall is too hard to conform to the tube no matter how hard I crank on the clamp. Hence, it leaks when the tank is full and I do not need it leaking on my new Crane Cams unit mounted in that crevice of the car. |
