I have a 96 with a Tubi with several other mods, ECU and intake, etc. I don't think there is any low end loss. Who drives these at less than 2500 rpm anyway? The Tubi sounds great and is a great addition to the 355.

Thanks Tom. I wonder what difference the test pipes will have on the car as well. To tell you the truth the major reason for doing this is not for performance but for having a more healthier engine. If the engine is able to breathe better, run cooler, the better it is. I have heard that by taking the cats out your exhaust valves and valve guide do not burn up as easily. I put a borla in my TR and took the cats out and the car performs and sounds unbelivable

Billy, I have a 95 355 with a Tubi exhaust. I don't feel any loss of power at the low rpms, but I've never done a side by side comparison. All I know is the car screams and the sound is sweet! A real head turner. Tom

If you look through that nsx files website(the two guys on it had 355s) they briefly mention the exhaust situation with the 355 when one of them has the valve get stuck closed on him and the car lags on the top end of the rpms. Somewhere else I read more about it. To be honest, I don't think it can change it that much and where you really need that horsepower is in the high rpms anyway, so if you like the Tubi I say go for it. You never race anyone at like 2000rpms anyway. I would imagine that when you get close to like 3000-4000 the difference wouldn't be that noticeable. Once again, you never do performance driving at low rpms so it wouldn't matter that your car was a little slower in them.

I have been reading that you lose bottom end performance if you put a tubi exhaust. Do you actually feel the car going slower? I am planning on putting test pipes to bypass the three cats as well as putting a tubi. Anyone ever do this? I have a 95 355 with the 2.7 motronic system.
