Ferrari claims a carburated 308 max horsepower is 255 with emission equipment in place. It may not pass tuned that way but the equipment stays on car.

Don't basterdize your car. Your Ferrari goes very fast. In fact even with all emmission equipment still attached, it will exceed any speed limit. Believe me I live in Montana, where the speed limit for locals is still unlimited. What it will cost to replace that equipment is not worth the added horse power if there actually is any.

And depending on your location, your car may not pass emmisions.

Then the fuel sits in the muffler and pops and burns, may even shoot flames. But there will be less localised heat. better to fix the problems IMHO.

Less heat generated in the engine bay area. Also one less potential fire problem in the event of a fuel leak.

WHat would be the pros or cons to remove the cat
to eliminate or reduce fires?

Other than a fuel smelling exhaust, what else?

Thanks in advance
