At the track, the instructors comments on the car's handling used to be "scary", "twitchy" and "unpredictable tail happiness", to... believe it or not "one of the most predictable and forgiving cars I've ever driven". I'm not kidding.

For bottoming out, my 348 in it's current configuration is not as bad as my former euro 308 GTB. You take all inclines at an angle. Some speedbumps must be carefully navigated (or avoided) when the car is fully laiden.

How much better does the car handle? How about bottoming out, and gettting in and out of parking lots?

Make sure to get a new alignment. Have the shop dial in as much negative camber in the rear as the various parts can *safely* tolerate. Rear tire wear will suffer, but you will LOVE the results.

I did on my 91, and it makes a tremendous difference... especially in relieving the tail twitchy attitude.
