Check the little plastic pulley mounted on the frame of the car, near the bellhousing. It may have broken and the resultant slack clutch cable needs to travel further, in order to release the clutch. The jerky movement could be the cable dragging on the remains of the pulley/pulley bolt.

Regarding a 77 308 Clutch, it feels like i Have to push the pedal down further than ever before in order for the clutch to bring the engine into neutral and allow me to shift. I just spent three days at the trak. Also, the clutch grabs just fine and there is plenty of freeplay at the top. Is this just an adjust ment issue.

Also, the pedal clutch pedal travel is not smooth, but feels jerky and sticky. Is this just build up?? Should I clean the cable and lnkages.

Wat kind of grease do you use and for what parts.

Sal
