Have been using a brand called Cheetah 911 for 2 years on my 85 308 QV wo any problems! These wires are however metallic core and not carbon, still have not experienced any ill side effects and they should last a LONG time. |

Hi Peter, on your 75 308 gt4 ,you have points, the 80 and newer have electronic ignition, wire resistance is very important, it's not so critical on point models, ........I also get a laugh on the price to rebuild the water pumps, you can buy a seal kit and bearings for under $100, and do it your self,no rocket science, these other guys at the dealership don't like to sell you a kit, also the price of a clutch, I can rebuild one here in Canada for $225.00 that's about $6.49 US funds, they work as good if not better than OEM,the list goes on including catalytic converters, you can build your own using universal cats for less than $200.00 each..you just have to do some research and not be afraid .......Angelo |

Hello there, after spending a small fortune for ignition wires in May of 98, my new factory wires started arcing again, now I'm pissed, I can't believe they are done again!!, I talked to a lot of Ferrari people, you must use the Cavis B wires or you can burn out the ignition moduals they tell me, so I buy the OEM wires, this time around I say no way, I measure the resistance of the wires, 1000 ohms per foot, off to the auto parts places with a ohm meter, they must have thought I was on glue checking out every brand of wires for resistance, went from one place to the other, with my meter in hand, finally, I find wires with the same reading BOSCH 7mm Premium wire set, for an 8 cylinder Chrysler truck, part number 098608, for a fraction of the price, bought 2 sets for the extra coil wire for under a $100, the end boots fit perfect, the cap end I trim to suit, presto , no problem....no arcs....so there you have it .....didn't have to put a grease fitting on my wallet this time around....hope this will help others in the future.....Angelo |
