You can probably get the stuff that you need from Porsche since they use the type fittings you need. |

Greg, I faced a similar problem when making oil-cooler hoses. I bet you, that your connections are a DIN type, you must do a search (using the 'net) to find hydraulic hose suppliers in your area and they may be able to help you (by getting you the required adapter to the check valve, or make a new line from the check-valve to the accumulator). |

The fun continues. I went to the local bosch store. I found the check valve but it will not fit the fittings. It will fit in the fuel pump ok but not onto the connection that goes to the accumulator. I have the 975 pump and it has internal check valve but the new 975 pumps only come with external. I called Bosch and the only 975s with internal check valve was proprietary for Ferrari only. The only way I can add a check valve is to cut my existing stock lines and put in banjo fittings to add the 975 external check valve. I thought they should have a pump with the same output with internal check valve. It would be nice if they made an external check valve that is the same size as the fitting in that connects the fuel pump to the U connection that goes to the accumulator. (you can see it in my pic) I am not sure what to do. The only place in town doesn't have any fittings to make the new lines anyway plus I am not sure if I want to cut my stock line. I did find a place that will rebuild them. They also want me to sent the WUR to check it out and rebuild it if necessary. Do you recommend rebuilding these? Thanks. Peter is correct on the check valve. It looks like a double male end fittings with a spring in it with a hex body. (mine 17mm) |

A check valve flows in one direction only - allows fuel to go to the distributor, but not back into the tank through the pump. |

Greg...stupid question, only because I haven't had to replace my fuel pump. What is the check valve and where is it located on the fuel pump. Thanks! |

I removed my fuel pump today. I thought I might have an external check valve. I then found out that my fuel pump has an internal check valve. I went and found a replacement fuel pump but they only come with external check valves which will not work with the existing fittings. The fuel pump is the same as a Mercedes but they external check valve will not fit on the 308 pump. The weird thing is that it is the same pump but mine has an internal check valve. Any ideas? Does everyone else's pump have internal check valves? Did you find an external valve that would fit?
