With regard to the cooling, check the foam seal between the duct and the vent. After 14 or so years that seal degrades which allows air to divert past the vent. With regard to the heating, I have a similar problem and it's more apparent when the top is down. With the top up, it seems to work better. I think the sensor is just really sensitive also it seems that the only way the Mondial cools off the heater is by turning on the A/C. |

I have just had my air con reconditioned and converted to R134A gas, the compressor was overhauled (it had also been leaking) , the drier and filter replaced. The fan seemed to be ok but still the system is not as good as my other more modern cars. Does anyone have any tips on how to make the air (presently down to 6 degree cel at the main outlet) come out at a greater volume? Can a bigger fan be fitted or is this a waste of time? Also, my heater starts out nice and hot and then within 30-60 seconds drops the temp down considerably. I turn the heater off for a minute or so and then the same thing happens, maybe a sensor somewhere in the system? Any clues? I know about the in cabin climate control sensor and have disconnected this completely but this change appears to have no effect on the heater operation. PC http://fly.to/mondial
