You always perform a compression test after the engine has been brought up to operating temp..

I want to do an engine compression test on my car. Is it best to do this with the engine cold, or warm?

I know that the actual compression is not as important as is the difference between cylinders. Relatively speaking, then, it shouldn't make a difference, either cold or warm......or am I missing something?

Thanks.
