I bought a Superchip for my '88 911 a long time ago and it drove fine - I think they make the cheapest chips on the market for many cars. I have no idea about HP improvement though!

I have asked this info in previous threads, please post any info for us all, my 348 is a 1990 as well and I know the chipneeds to be soldered on the ecu... worried about drivability as the car's electronics are pretty touchy and complicated as it is already.

Thanks Dan...You are correct in that I have a 1990. I will checkout the website and move from there.

David,

You should check the web site before you bid on those chips. The Ferrari discussion states that EEPROMS are for 1992 - 1994 348 3.4L engines. It also says that if you are ordering from Superchips then they want your ECU number to make sure they have a correct part for your car.

I believe your 348 is a 1990 model. Be careful and check with Superchips first.

BTW - I sent a request for clarification as to the model year 348 the seller claims the chips support. I'll forward the response to you. I am not interested in the chips for myself. Just trying to help.

Any info on the hp increase claimed? I have always wanted to do this, but heard some weird
stories about the chips.

Hey Guys and Gal, was wondering if anyone had any experience with Superchips company or with there products. I'm thinking about getting a set of chips off of ebay. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

BTW - Chips would be for a 348
