David: We should all be glad that Ferraris aren't made in England.....maybe 15 minutes is not long enough!

Anyway, I consider this practice for when I have to replace the VC gaskets on my BBi....fortunately, the engine was completely gone over by the previous owner....he paid PLENTY!!!!!!!

Sorry I couldn't resist this...but, is there oil in the engine (to leak out?)

Years ago I read/learned that the "only" way to stop a British car from leaking oil was to drain it.

Congrats...those VC gaskets can be a pain to change...Virtually the same clearances on a BB.

I just completed changing the valve cover gaskets on the left hand side of a USA version TR. I ran the car for 15 minutes, and.........NO LEAKS!!!!!!

There are a few tricks I learned. If anyone needs to replace a valve cover gasket, feel free to e-mail me, and I will try and help.
