Lawrence,

On the BB, I replace (flush and bleed) the brake fluid every two years, regardless on mileage. When I was taking the car to driving schools, track events, etc., before every event.

Regards,
David

How often did you change your brake fluid?

Henry,
Well, I guess inflation! has taken its toll...or I am mistaken as to what I paid. Stainless inserts are slightly better, as they transfer less heat to the brake fluid. Eitherway, it will be better than stock...

White Post has been around for ages...Good reputation, as well.

Regards,
David

David: I talked to SS Brakes; $350 per caliper, and a 6 week wait. My dealer states that they are more like 2-3 months.

He gave me the name of White Post Restorations, which they use......told me quick turn-around time.

Called them.....$320 per caliper ($80 per piston). This includes BRASS sleeves (not SS, as SS Brakes do), new SS pistons, and new original seals.......warranty is lifetime. Turn-around time is 2 days at their shop.

I decided to go with White Post, due to the quick turn-around time. I don't know if brass, or SS sleeves, would be better, but with the lifetime warrany, I don't feel it makes much of a difference.

Henry,
These folks did my BB calipers about 12 years ago...I think it was about $400 for all the calipers.

The family that owns the business has been friends of mine for years..Nice quality, with reasonable prices.

One of the 4 pistons in the front caliper is stuck in the outward position.....wheel turned hard. It is actually frozen in place...can't get it out, even with compressed air.

I would like it totally rebuilt, with possible stainless steel sleeves. Does anyone know where I can send these, and the approximate price?
