Cory, don't feel bad because your car had to sit for so long. What ever it was, I'm sure there was a valid reason. I had a running problem with my car a while back and couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was. I got so frustrated, I cursed at the car and didn't even look at it. I eventually calmed down and dug deeper and found the cause and repaired it. No big deal, and the car is fine now... Remember, its just a fine collection of nuts and bolts... |

I hate for anybody to dig into their car but I was just curious if any of the digits in the part number on the ECU have been scratched off. The last three of mine have and it leaves me curious. Several FI parts for my car are available at the local parts store. Quite cheaply I might add. The control unit you would think is Ferrari specific as far as its programming is concerned but why conceal the numbers. Has anyone found this to be available outside of Ferrari sources. Just curious. Mitch P.S. To anyone who read my last post, my car finally fired off and sounded great. Even after a year of sitting. Don't hate me because I'm stupid. I know its bad but all is well and Mobil 1 in the gearbox kicks butt. I'm not saying what the problem was, then you will know I am stupid. |
