Frank, I apologize for not responding in a few days, out on business. Here is an underside pic of a my Euro 308 bumper and grill. There are no cutouts for the grill, simply two hangers that the grill bolts to.

Success at last. I was finally able to get the grill in by cutting some holes on the bottom of the bumper and stepping on the bottom of the spoiler to bend it down some apparently the streets of New Orleans had pushed it up some

Was the chin spolier an option or did they not offer it until 85?

Philip , from what the manufacturer told me they covered some cutouts on the bumper underside. I am assuming that this is where the "vertical" slats of the grill fit in.

Frank
FYI, I mounted Euro bumpers on my US spec 1977 308. I left the (heavy) bumper shocks in place and just mounted the fiberglass bumper where the larger US bumper had been mounted. It bolted right on and the front to back and top to bottom alignment of the Euro bumper looks the same as Jeff's. Is the Cavallino sized right?

Im assuming then that you have all the correct mounting hardware for the euro bumper as well. Im not sure if ferrari did anything different with the front frame rails from euro to US to allow for bumper shocks. I havent made this change to my US car yet but Ive always heard of people using repro bumpers and fabricating brackets to mount them. It sounds like if you have an original euro bumper, you need the brackets as well or maybe they dont directly swap without some minor fabrication if the car was intended to have bumper shocks for the US market. Im only guessing and hope I dont send you down the wrong road.

Paul, I have the Euro bumper and grill. It just seems like the bottom of the bumper sits too far back towards the fans.

Frank, it sounds like you are using a US bumper and a Euro grille. The grille is taller on the euro because the bumper doesnt have the big lumps hanging down in the way. You would need the euro bumper as well.

Greg, do the top parts of the grill fit into slots on the bumper??? The problem I have is that if I put the grill behind the bumper the cavalino is also behind the bumper half way down it's head but the grill is too tall to fit under the bumper.
