Didn't some of the earlier 308's have a single switch for a rear fog light? Maybe that was on Euro versions only....not sure.

Don, did you ask the previous owner?
My car had a switch removed by a previous owner (the switch for the antenna on the radio, now it goes up automatically whenever the am or fm is selected). The switch itself is in the console still floating around under there and since the console was redone in leather you don't notice that one is missing. It was in a weird spot too, right next to the base of the handbrake. I thought I was the only one with a random switch thing going on.

Don, I have a 79 308 GTS. Someone had to make a hole to the left of the antenna hole and put another switch in the antenna hole. Because the antenna switch and plate ride very close to the end of that console. Could it be a over ride switch for you parking lights. You may have to turn the key in the start position to activate whatever it is.

Has to be an owner-added switch. Did you check for remnants (wires, mounting holes, etc.) of previously installed fog/driving lights? That would be my first guess.

Hi everybody -

Still exploring my new 308 (it's a '78). It has an extra switch on the center console, just to the right of the antenna switch. It is identical in appearance to the others, and has a plate underneath it like the others but is not labeled. It does not seem to do anything when I switch it on and off. All of the other 308's that I've seen only have four switches across (one group of 3, then a space, then the antenna switch). This car has five across - the group of 3, this mystery switch, then the antenna switch. Any ideas? A factory option that no longer works?

Thanks for any help.
