I see it on mine after a bit of driving. Never really worried about it.

Thanks Edward, sounds very plausible.

Stanley, I use Unleaded 95 RON.

Perhaps the majority of guys running Red cars don't notice it so much and it just builds up, eventually being lost within the general film of other dirt, till they wash it off. On yellow its a real annoyance as its fairly significant after a run of just say 100 miles.

My 308 did it no matter what type fuel I used or with or without cats. I believe it is caused due to the fact that there are no water drain holes in the mufflers on Ferraris and with the airflow over the rear end panel causing a Kamm effect and the water droplets washing the carbon from the exhaust system, it splatters the stuff on the bumper and body panel.

You don't metion what type of fuel you are running...leaded fuel will leave deposits. Unleaded should not...

Is it just mine running poorly or do they all leave a few carbon deposits on the rear bumper after a run? Otherwise starts and runs very well and goes very well so no signs of anything untoward. You guys seem to run a few white cars over there, must show up a lot like on my yellow.

If its normal for a F car, or 348's why do they do it when other more run of the mill cars don't?
