Also the adjustment specs. are in your owners manual.

While we're talking throwout bearings and clutch replacements,Make sure that your clutch is adjusted properly. Especially on the older 308s where they are very hard to push and it is difficult to feel the free travel the pedal is supposed to have.

Likewise, I don't worry about those behind me. Heck, before I was an owner, I was so jazzed even to see a Ferrari on the road that when behind one at a stop I would hope they WOULDN'T pull away too quickly so I could gawk as much as possible! (now that I think about it, even being an owner, I STILL feel that way)

HOLDING IN THE CLLUTCH WILL WEAR OUT YOUR THROW OUT BEARING. EVEN THOUGH CLUTCH REPLACEMENT ON A FERRARI IS A SIMPLE THING FOR A 308 OR MONDIAL AS OPPOSED TO AND XKE OR EVEN A MGB. ONE NEVER REPLACES JUST THE THROW OUT BEARING YOU REPLACE THE WHOLE ASSY. THE BEST PRICES I HAVE SEEN FOR CLUTCH ASSY.ARE AROUND $349.00. AS FOR THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT (FEED THEM FISH) THEY CAN WAIT A FEW MICRO SECONDS MORE.

I usually leave it in at red lights, but whenever I go to like Burger King (I've been there like 3 times with my car, no cupholders) I let it out. When my foot gets tired I let it out and put the car in neutral, not in that order. I usually go from neutral to 2nd and then into 1st, it works the best for my car. I would never ride the clutch to keep the car on an incline, wow that would send shivers down my spine.

I just do it because my foot gets tired.

Hi Greg,I agree, You also have a tendency to slip the clutch to keep the car steady on a incline. So let them wait. Their not going to help in the cost of replacing your clutch assembly if it wears out prematurely

How many hold their clutch in at a red light? I usually let it out as I have heard it is better for the bearing. Many people at the light get impatient waiting for me to get started. (I try to put it into first gently) Is this true? Thanks.
