Nope that is not the one.

It is inside the bell housing, underneath the throwout bearing carrier. I have a picture but did not scan it in. Perhaps someone else on the board can offer a picture. It is not easy to get to.

Mitchell,

Do you have a pic? I think I know what you are talking about but I looked at the helper spring and it is fine. Is it between the pully wheel and the arm?

Yes, I had the same problem when the U-shape spring popped lose from the throw out bearing carrier. This happened when I did not double check that the spring itself completely snapped around the carrier on the way in. Maybe yours was just worn out and needs to be replaced.

In august, the f-car was in the shop and Ferrari adjusted the freeplay on the clutch. About 3k miles ago. About a week ago, the car developed a click on the declutch.

It has come and gone and come back. I cleaned the entire undercar with hopes that it would help. Clean bottom, still clicking. Now, the clutch freeplay is out again. The car does not slip so I am not sure. It is going in the shop tomorrow to have it adjusted again.

Any thoughts?
