Nope that is not the one. It is inside the bell housing, underneath the throwout bearing carrier. I have a picture but did not scan it in. Perhaps someone else on the board can offer a picture. It is not easy to get to. |

Mitchell, Do you have a pic? I think I know what you are talking about but I looked at the helper spring and it is fine. Is it between the pully wheel and the arm? M |

Yes, I had the same problem when the U-shape spring popped lose from the throw out bearing carrier. This happened when I did not double check that the spring itself completely snapped around the carrier on the way in. Maybe yours was just worn out and needs to be replaced. |

In august, the f-car was in the shop and Ferrari adjusted the freeplay on the clutch. About 3k miles ago. About a week ago, the car developed a click on the declutch. http://server.ferrarichat.com/~ferrari/ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/144085.html?1033931984 It has come and gone and come back. I cleaned the entire undercar with hopes that it would help. Clean bottom, still clicking. Now, the clutch freeplay is out again. The car does not slip so I am not sure. It is going in the shop tomorrow to have it adjusted again. Any thoughts? |
