Take out the stud and see if the threads are wet with oil. If so use permatex NO.2 on the threads and reinstall. |

Possible, but it looks dry and, if so, it is only spraying in one direction - up. |

Could it be that your main crank seal is leaking and it sprays oil onto the water pump which then drips? |

The bottom stud on my '75 308 'Dino'saur water pump has drops of oil hanging off it. Yes, oil, it's not dirty antifreeze. I can't figure out where it is coming from. All seals (i.e. - cams, crank, cam belt drive, etc.) seem dry. By chance does this stud protrude into an oil passage? It could be seeping out thru the stud itself. I have heard of this happening on a motor mount stud/bolt. |
