On 79 308 GTS the sticker is located in the center of the superstructure, frame, of the engine cover,bonnet. Check your owners manual under general specifications |

Ben -- the "a" in the VIN eighth digit indicates your 1981 308GTSi is a US version. I just emailed Section 1 of the corresponding OM to the email address in your profile (it's about 2MB so I hope you have the room for it on your end). |

Ben -- register on the www.owners.ferrari.com site. It takes a couple of days for them to get back to you, but they have the OMs on-line.

Ben -- Your best reference IMO would be the OM for your year/model/version F -- in Section 1 ("identification data"). |

It depends on the model and when it was produced and what type of paint was then used. I would check the photos and/or diagrams in a service manual on your car to be sure or you can call Beau pirkle at 770.939.6982. He is a Ferrari paint/body man extraodinare and will know the proper location. |

The paint label goes on the underside of the decklid over the storage compartment. Ive seen them on the right half of the lid almost at the rear lip. The GVW label would be on the jamb near the lid release. |

Well I finished painting my car, and during the assembly I happen to forget where to put the paint label and GVW label. I have an 81, someone said the GVW gos on the door, but I thought i removed it off the door jam.. anyhow any help? |
