I always loved Back to the Future; really a good fun film. One quick story:

When I was in High School I had a physics exam. One of the questions was incorrectly written and would have required time travel to take place. As my answer I wrote that answering the question would require a plutonium powered Delorean that was going over 88mph.....I got full marks for that one.

While it looks very much like a Flux Capacitor,
it is actually an early 1950's birth control device.

That would be the Flux Capacitor and is what makes time travel possible. More of a Delorean than Ferrari part.
