I jack my car with a floor jack from the front and then I put it on ramps. I then Jack the back and put it on ramps facing the opposite direction to keep the car from rolling. Not to scale.... |

Giang, yes, I lifted my 308 with the jack on the side for change of front and rear tires. Didn't try it from the back or front. Andreas |

Tifosi12, when you mean 'work', you mean jack from side of car without running the car on 2x4s? the side isn't as bad as jacking the car from the rear crossmember in order to stick two jack stands in. mine is very tight, but can do this. btw. what is the proper procedure to set the car on 4 stands? i'll create a new thread after i do a search in the archives for it.

Oh, just realized that maybe the reason it worked for me is because my tires are 16" and not 14". That might make the difference in clearance. |

Murray's has a 2 ton jack for $ 20. Works fine for my 308 GTS, so I'd think it'd would work for a 328 as well. Changed my tires with it. |

Tom, I bought an Aluminum Race Jack from Costco last year. I'm not sure they have it anymore, but it works great, is very light (35lbs or so), and fits under my 328. It takes about 6 pumps to extend the jack completely (i think to 17 inches), so it does come with a long aluminum handle that you can put your weight on. If you want more details, I can take pics or give you the brand name so you can ask Costco or do an online search. I think I've seen it on ebay as well. James Giang Hoang |

Instead of spending the money, why not just run your car up on a couple 2X6's before placing the jack under the car? |

Harbor Freight sells a large racing style for around $199 I think. 3-1/2" is needed to fit it under. |

Can anyone recommend a jack that would fit under my 328. I've tried several but all were too tall. I looked at Walmart, Sams, Costco and AutoZone. I figure I need one that is under 4" tall. |
