When I had the muffler off my 308 I tried matching up the gasket at every auto parts store in New Orleans without any luck I finally called GT CAR Parts and got them for about ten dollars each |

Yes. I carefully taped mine off.. the donut was still in good shape and I reinstalled with no problem...if new donuts are easlily available its always better to replace. The gasket is attached to a small piece of pipe I believe I taped the pipe and not the gasket. |

If it is a donut gasket you should replace it anyway. Remove it, pry it off, and match it up at your local Pep Boys. |

I got a set of the Tubi test pipes for my 1994 348 Spider and they don't come with the gasket that fits over the end of the tube. Can you reuse the one that is on the cat, and if so, what is the procedure for removing it? It seems like if I remove it it will be destroyed. |
