I strongly recommend Ferrari of San Antonio (Barrett Motors). Deal with Phil Winebrenner, the Service & Parts Manager, and Jaime Moreno or Tony Jones in Sales. Good folks all, and they will treat you fairly. I have also had limited, but good, dealings with Ferrari of Los Gatos in California. |

Also Ferrari of Atlanta has always been great to me. Especially the service department. They even put up with me in high school when I hung around like some Ferrari groupie. Even took me for rides. |

Ric Schumann in Atlanta. He was with FAF for years. He located my Alfa Spider and my 308 for me. He is very knowledgeable and frendly. I highly recommend him. If anybody is interested email me for his #. |

Dealt with Sean Harris in Utah and was a pleasure. Also, I had someone contact me about their '86 (not 87-88)red/black 328GTS 16,500 mile car with recent services done. Really nice car and falls within your budget for sure. If interested I will exchange contact info for you. |

I bought my car from a guy I know in town but a couple of friends have had very good experiences with Classic Coach in Elizabeth NJ www.ccferrari.com (Sales, Service, Restoration) I would also recommend calling Martin from FChat at 305.867.7676 www.theferraricollection.com He's educated, honest, and I met him when I was in Miami last month...a sincere gentleman. Cheers, TTG |

Further thoughts, I usually do end up with this dilema, but only when buying NEW i.e. our daily runner. Where I have dealer choices and the car will be mint in any case. |

Interesting because to me it always seems to come down to finding a car I would find 'right to buy' rather than if I could choose WHO to buy it from. |

It was about a few years ago when I first walk into Ferrari of Long Island. At the time by no means was my paycheck rich enough to afford a Ferrari. A salesperson approached me and asked how he could be helpful, and I replied that Im fresh out of college and if it was alright for me to just look around. Not only did he spent most of his morning patiently showing me all the cars (including an F50), he even offered me to test drive a 348 if I wanted to (which I actually declined). Well a lot can happen in a few years and last September I was ready to be a Ferrari owner. I went World Wide of Cars in Spring Valley, NY to see a nice 355 spider, but I stood in the showroom for 15 minutes and not one salesperson came up and ask me if he (or she) can help me with the cars. To make a long story short, currently Im a proud 355 Spider and hopefully soon a 360 Spider ownerALL purchased from Ferrari of Long Island. From sales to service, they are a great group of people there.

I would like to put in a good word about FOH. I have always been treated well there (F355) at or about market rate last year. |

I have bought a 400GT and a 330GTC from Eddie Karam(610.429.9990) near Philly and have been pleased. I also bought a 328GTS from Steve Ahlgrim(954.522.9900) and was happy with the car and experience. I bought my TR from Steve Barney back when he was at Foreigh Car Italia(336.294.0200) and was happy there too. I was not happy with the dealer I bought my 348 Spider from but agreed not to discuss as part of a settlement agreement. |

Would certainly have to agree with Bruce's recommendation of Sean / Steve Harris Imports...they're at the top of my next F-car shopping list. Would gladly purchase and have shipped here to Florida. Here in Florida, I've only dealt with Ferrari of Central Florida. Up until now, I've only purchased (quite a few) parts, but haven't had any personal experience with the service dept. All the staff that I've met there have been extremely helpful and friendly. The salesmen there always show me around whenever I visit, and answer any questions I might have. Of course, I've only owned an F-car for 1-year, so I'm sort of "new on the block". |

if FOH did what you said I would avoid. Again I think most of us think 60k for a 328 is high. If anything the saleman should have been happy that you might buy a 328 from him for 60k |

Exotic Car World. I just bought my 328 from them Saturday, and I was very happy with the treatment I received. Very courteous, always happy to speak to me, and the transaction was smooth. They can always get the car you want, if they know what you're looking for. With a 60K budget, there shouldn't be any problem finding the car you're looking for. Even better, they join in our fun here in the Dallas area! Call (972) 252-1001 and ask for Brian Glasscock. Tell him that you're from Ferrarichat and you get a delivery discount. As for Ferrari of Dallas, I called them about a red/black 328 they had. The salesguy wouldn't even talk to me about it on the phone. Just my $.02, you might have different luck. |

Hello again, I've started into my 328 search in earnest at this point and have recieved numerous reccomendations regarding who/where to purchase (or not) a car from. Not intending to offend anyone, here is the current synopsis: Ferrari Atlanta - good Ferrari Houston - good (but the salesman I spoke with chastised me today for looking for a car with such specific parameters (87-88, <15k mi, $60k budget? Is this unreasonable?) Ferrari Dallas - unknown Ferrari dealer in NC - avoid Auto Toy Store - avoid Corporate Caochworks - avoid Exotics4less - avoid; they don't necessaily have the cars & require a non-refundable deposit to inspect Ferrari of Utah - nice but not as thorough Motorsports International - excellent Open to any and all suggestions/counter-arguements, etc. Thanks once again, Carl |
