Bill, I would try to extend the plastic end rather than bring the hose up or add on to it. Sounds like someone has been there before and the hose is caught down under the dash. A lot less work if you can add on to the plastic end. |

I just pulled my louvers out and now i see how it's set up. Do you know what would be a good source for that accordian connecting tube? Mine appears to be a tad short and it doesn't connect the vent housings well at all. |

The vent housing is pop rivited on mine. If this is the case with yours you'll have to drill out the rivits. |

Thanks, Tom--now, after removing the louvers, how does the vent housing itself come off? Are there screws/ bolts holding it in somewhere? |

The 2 louvers just pop out toward you and the holes are suppose to be there. |

How does one remove the center vent ( the ac vent with the 2 adjustable louvers below the radio ) from a 308? Mine is loose , annoyingly squeaky on bumps, and poorly connected to that accordian connector and I want to remove / reinstall it more neatly. Also, mine has 2 circular holes drilled in it ( one on each side -aiming at occupants' feet ). Are these supposed to be there ? |
