You guys are great. I made several phone calls today to the aforementioned sources. Jeff LeBlond was very helpful and knowledgeable. I will try to stay original and rebuild the self-leveling devices rather than substitute with a dual shock system. More to come. I will let everyone know how it goes. Thanks. Jim S. |

$800 for a pair is good price. I would still call koni first.Try to keep it original.Koni is easy to talk to and they will tell you if they can do it and about how much over the phone. How much Time it takes to get them back I have no ideal. I got new ones shipped out in 7 days. |

James, the information given by Simon is correct and he is the only person that can do this. He is also able to diagnose the problem over the phone to save you time and $$$$. He can also sell you a new coil-over system to replace the self levelers for $800. |

oh. and do the bushings with the shocks and levellers. And no they dont come with them. Either through ferrai or check the archives as some memebers here have been getting them elsewhere. If you do the job yourself you need a spring compressor and a press for the bushings. The job is easy with the right tools. Took me 3 hours to do the rear complete on my 400.I had self contained not hydraulic levellers however. |

Are they hydrauilc with lines to each side and a pump or self contained. Koni should do the self contained ones. Give em a call 859-586-4100. Also if you are friendly with a local shop they can order these units when available or get them rebuilt at a (jobber) price. |

James I think the early 400s had the self leveling shocks as you say. Bruno on the F.C. here has a 400 and I think his were not self leveling but he knows of where they can be rebuilt. |

I am investigating new self-leveling units on a 365 GTC/4. Does anyone have Jeff LeBlond's telephone number or e-mail? I am a bit confused by some of the items mentioned in a previous thread. If I understand correctly, the dual Koni's on each side of the rear of the 365 GTC/4, like those on the 400, are NOT dual shocks, but one shock (forward) and one self-leveling Koni unit (rear). The self-leveling units are no longer available, but can be rebuilt by a surgeon (LeBlond) in Arizona. Is this correct? Thanks. Jim S. |
