Paul,
I also have the same problem. But I am a bit nervous about how much to grind away. Can you tell me how thick you ground it to? Did you grind it evenly or at an angle? Any chance you could post a picture?

Also, I know I am being paranoid here, but the head nuts are NOT reverse thread, right? I am having a devil of a time loosening these bolts. I hear the "pop" when it initially loosens. But then it actually seems to be harder to turn then it initially was. I am 99% certain that they are normal, but don't want to find out the hard way.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Tim,
What part of the Baum wrench is preventing it from fitting on the bolts?

As we discussed, I'm about to reproduce this tool & I can probably take care of the problem in the one I'm making.

Just received the baum head wrench..I can not get it to fit on bolts 3,1, and 5 (numbers are of the tightening sequence) Has anyone else had this problem or do I just have a bum (no pun intended) tool? Anyone compared this to the factory wrench?
