That's great, Do you think you may have run through water with the car prior to parking it. I can't believe the fluid was that stiff even at 23 degrees F.

I ran the car in reverse on jackstands ala Ferris Bueller, but the miles went on as the pickup for the speedo senses pulses.
I warmed the car up and allowed it to sit for an hour, when I returned it was working properly again.
BTW 6500 RPM in reverse = ~40MPH

Sounds like a beginning Erik. If you drove it through water before stopping it it may have frozen but it does seem wierd. Could be shifter alignment?????

Parked my car a week ago and tried to go for a drive today (23 degrees F) and the shifter is solid in the reverse position. I started it, yanked, nudged, pulled, tapped, rocked the car in reverse and no luck.
I am going to try jacking the car up and running it in reverse for a while...
Hope it just has some condensation in the shift bushing that froze.

Any suggestions?
Erik
