I just tested my 308 QV compression recently and I also got 145-155 lbs. The other item that you should look for is the variance between cylinders. I would imagine that all cylinders should be within 5 pounds or less of one another. I am not a professional, however, so I encourage you to look into this further.

It gives a listing of expected average dry compression test reading vs CR (assuming you don't have ridiculous camshafts with a lot of overlap). Your results seem quite reasonable for a 8.8:1 or 9.2:1 308 motor.

What is normal? I'm getting readings between 145 and 155 lbs.
