Greg, I am usually zooming by traffic so fast in my 348ts that there is no need for a mirror on the passanger side. I thought it was just there to balance out the looks of the car. It is as others have said... useless.  Dan | ||

I have a 93 348ts and the passenger side mirror is useless - like you said Greg, you can't see a thing. Get used to turning your head. The little stickon mirrors from WalMart - I don't think so either. | ||

I don't think so Greg. I had a '94 348 Spider and it was a conventional mirror...didn't provide much of a view for me either. I think the Italians are slow to adopt the new gagets (ha!)....remember, no airbags in cars until the 1995 F355! The cars sit so low it is probably best to do the head-turner anyway....luckly, in a Ferrari, most folks are watching you! Kevin PS: don't modify it unless you don't want to ever sell it or at least make sure you can put it back in stock condition (save the olds parts). I have found that most Ferrari owners (like me) look for original cars. That includes the stereo. At least the stick on mirrors come off! | ||

On my 1989 348ts, the passenger side mirror is of the non-wide-angle variety (ie., it does NOT say "objects in mirror are closer than they appear"), and I gotta tell you, I can't see a thing in it. Huge blind spots, unless you turn your head around and look back there. Did the newer 348's come with wide angle mirrors? Has anyone modified their mirrors? I asked at FoD and they said they didn't sell anything like this, and all they suggested was the little circle ones you can stick on the mirror (uh, I don't think so). Any thoughts? Greg |
