On older cars with k-jetronic FI, a little 2-stroke oil will extend the life of the plunger in the fuel distributor as well as the fuel pump when using unleaded gas. Since your car is designed to run on unleaded I don't really see a need for it, and I'm not to sure how good it is for the cat's and oxygen sensors in the long run.

My 91 TR is running fine but I have a question. Last year I had new injector nozzles installed by a very trusted non F-car mechanic and he told me to put a little synthetic oil (Shell Helix) from time to time into the gas tank to lubricate the injector nozzles. Has anyone heard of this or do it? I'd be interested if anyone thinks that to do this might cause a problem. Don.
