Joe, hydraulic T/O bearings would be more accurate in respect to clutch modulation (elimanting some of the slop from the levers n' links), but from a servicing stand-point, the slave (Mondial set-up) is much better. It is nothing to remove one and replace seals if need be. Especially if you're going to track the car, repairing it in the pits between races will go much faster. Otherwise, with the T/O set-up, you must pull off the bellhousing and all its related parts... Big P.I.A. |

Jeff Get a Speeway Motors catalog,Grassroots Motorsports any Nascar Mag has alot of goods. Speedway has what you need.I was going to go to a Hydraulic throwout bearing, because I have a 2300 lb pressure plate.it would eliminate clutch master n slave .But instead I just lenghtened a new cable end n got rid of all Ferrari spring garbage run it old style for about $25.00..McCloud Industries makes the cats ass of hydraulic throw out bearings n clutches.the bellhousing has just enough room mccloud 714 630 2764 |

It's not even a matter of using Ferrari parts if you don't want to. American Car Hot Rodder Supply sources sell hydraulic setups for throttle or clutch. I have a hydraulic throttle on my Dyno. I'll see if I can find the sources tommorow at work. |

I've heard tell that certain years Mondials used a hydraulic clutch with slave and master cylinders. Has anyone converted their cable actuated clutch over? My application will consist of a 308QV in a track car and would like to use the Hydraulic arrangement. Looking at the parts break down in "looks" do able, but has anyone ever tried (hopefully succsesfully) in joining them up? Any "gotchas"? or is it just a straight swapout of the different parts? Thanks, Jeff Davison |
