What, if any, wheels are available that maintain the original Ferrari look/design ? If memory serves, during the QV run, there were different size wheels available from Ferrari(or others?) that all had the same design/look. Were there multiple wheel sizes available for the 328s ? Or, is there an aftermarket wheel available that looks just like the originals ?

Guys,
I'm sorry, but only had the new wheels 2 weeks, so I don't have any pics. They are speedline 3 pc. They have a fake center nut. Look a lot like 288 GTO wheels.
One bit of advice I have received from repair shops: If you start adding a lot more grip to the cars, then other parts might not be up to the additional lateral forces, especially if you do a lot of track driving.

I'd like to see a picture of your 328 with aftermarket wheels too. When I bought my car I considered it but every wheel I looked at made the car look somewhat out of balance in some way. I was discouraged by many other 328 owners to go with an aftermarket wheel...Instead I sent out the stock wheels and had them refinished......very pleased with the results

Marcelo, if you get a chance register your car here.... we're trying to get info on all the FC 328s. Check the bottom of the link if you have questions. THX!

Dave, can you post pics of the car w/ 17's? I'm considering a set of aftermarket wheels and would like to put on a larger wheel w/ lower profile tires.

18s will fit. The front is no problem, rear is where you run in to trouble with width. The spring is in the way. If switch to an aftermarket 2.5" ID spring, a 9.5 will go with a 265 tire. If you do a little more work and move the lower shock mount you can fit a 10.5 with a 285 or 295 tire in side the stock fender. I think that is about it though.

I haven't done brakes yet, so no help there.

Marcelo,
I recently put 17's on mine (8's and 9's) I shod them with 225/45 and 245/40 Bridgestone S03's. The 245's are about 2 mm shorter than stock. I believe you can also use 255/40's which are about 2 mm's taller than stock. It's tough to find rubber for 18's that matches the stock diameters overall, especially the rears. I don't know about the brakes. I'm sure there is something that can be done. Increasing tire width alone helps braking.
I did this mostly for cosmetic reasons (I don't like the convex wheels on 89's) although I do some track driving as well. I didn't have any preconceived notions about handling improvement but I found it increases the grip very noticeably, more than I expected.

I am considering upgrading the wheels and brakes on my '87 328GTS. What are the largest size wheels that can be installed without wheelwell or body mods? I have heard that 17x8 (front) and 17x9 (rear) are the largest. As for brakes, what are the best options? Would it be possible, for example, to install 348 brakes front and rear?
Many thanks in advance for your input.
