Thanks Joe. I am satisfied with the modified ones from Pelican (knob looks just like original from the top), but if you locate his number, I will keep it for future reference. |

Verell, I was able to procure a "similar" one from Pelican Parts (Porsche supplier). The one they shipped me had a protruding screw with threads, instead of my clip-on type, but I was successful in removing the screw, leaving me with an opening which would fit over the headlight motor's manual adjust shaft. Will definitely keep you in mind if I come across any other parts which are unobtainable or outrageous in price. By the way, their cost was less than a dollar, so I consider it a small victory in the Ferrari cost of ownership war! |

Also, Try calling TRutlands, they do part out cars & may have a knob lying around. I wish I could quote you a lower price for reproducing the knob. However, recent experience has taught me the hard way that it takes about 8 to 12 hours work and $30-$50 worth of RTV to make a quality 2 or 3 part mold for a part of ~this size. So far I haven't seen enough demand for this part for me to absorb the cost of tooling up. Good luck,

In early 2000 I bought a pair of them as spare parts for my 308 from a guy in Australia for $10 including shipping to the US! He'd had a bunch made. I don't know if he's still around, but you can try emailing him at [email protected] or try to contact him through www.FerrariList.com |

Thanks Verell and Joe. I will give Pelican Parts a call - just checked their web site, but see only complete headlight motors listed - perhaps they have a bad one laying around with a knob I could purchase separately... |

If you can't come up with 1, I'll duplicate your other one for $75. Might take a while as I have promised several other people parts & have a backlog. Verell aka The Unobtanium Supplier |

I have a 77 308GTB which is missing the passenger side headlight motor manual raise knob. I really don't want to buy a new motor just to get the plastic knob. The part number stamped on the inside is 493 116. Do any FerrariChatters have a knob from a defective motor you would be willing to part with for a price? The knob looks like this: Thanks in advance. |
