My 308 speedo reads exactly ten miles an hour higher than I'm actually going (I calibrated it with a police radar, I used to be on rescue so I know all the cops). Yeah I too am a little disappointed that I am putting about 15% "more" miles on my car. |

If you have another car that you know is accurate, then check it against that one. Both of you go 70 or 80 and see if yours is correct. And yes, some F speedos read higher than normal. Others on the site know more of the intricacies of this problem than I do. Unfortunately, I have had the pleasure of several radar checks and they seem to confirm my speedo M |

So I notice that my 348's speedometer reads 80mph, when my quick timing between mile markers gives me a calculated 69mph. I read a note in the archive that said lots of older Ferrari's have this problem...is that true? And from what I understand, the 348 has an electronic speedo - can the error be corrected electronically? I hate the thought of putting 15% more miles on the car than actual. Greg |
