I know its similar to V-TEC in the Hondas, but the Hondas have two different cam lobes and the oil pressure pushes the cams into a secondary lobe, which provides more of a race-cam profile. Some time ago, I noticed a picture of a Ferrari cam, and it was described as a floating cam, which had a tapered lobe and would float back-and-forth to increases the lobe profile. Is this a production cam? If so, if not, how does this work or slap me cause I can't remember what I have seen! |
