Hey guys,

Just for a frame of reference, I recently had the front rotors replaced. They're not cheap. My independent mechanic got a pair, his price, for $379 each as I recall (I know, insane). Original Ferrari part--not drilled.

Mike I am in Canada, where did you order them from?

David, thanks. I called EvoSport and the best price they'd give me were $250 each for the fronts ("in recognition of the misprint"), and $300 each for the rears. "Retail" they said is $327 each, same as fronts and rears.

To show you what an "un-deal" that is, I just found them for $275 per PAIR; I paid $550.00 for all 4 wheels. Real Brembo, factory drilled, cad plated, for Ferrari 308 (all years). I ordered them from Canada, but they'll be drop-shipped to me here direct from a Brembo warehouse in the U.S. so there's not even a concern about having to pay import duty. Shipping is around $45-$50, so all four rotors to my door for under $600.

Sweet deal.

They have rotors at Auto Specialties/TRW (TRW Phone 310-513-2060) .
They wouldn't give the price over the phone, but they would direct you to a retailer.
Also, they give discounts to TRW employees.

Mike, that's odd... back when I got mine from them 3/1/02 they charged me $189.00 all the way around... After my sale I noticed that the back rotors went up in price on their website to $204.00...
Philip, the Koni shocks with shipping were $530.85 U.S. funds for all 4 without bushings...
I would like to go to a 300lb front spring with a .75 inch drop, and a 250lb rear spring with a .5 inch drop that will fit the stock Koni shocks.

Dave: If you got Brembo drilled rotors from EvoSport at that price, I'd like to know about it!!! They say it's a MISPRINT, and want $300 per rotor. At $200 per brembo cross-drilled rotor, I'd be ready to go for it.

David
What did you pay for the Koni shocks?

Jay,
Just checked the rotor price through Superformance (UK). 85.70 pounds (sterling) equates to closer to $130 each.

I got front and rear cross drilled Brembo rotors from Race Technologies through Evo Sport...
Their current prices are 189.00 front, 204.00 rear each U.S.
I think they also offer them in solid, as well as slotted...
Here is a link.

By the way, any of you out there that have changed the stock springs on your 308 while keeping the stock shock setup?
I have ordered new Koni shocks from tirerack.com but would like to go to a little lower and stiffer spring...
Any suggestions on what you have used for spring size and length, and from who?
Thanks!

As I recall Superformance has them at 80 pounds each, equating to about $120/each (F, R were the same price I think). Check in their catalog.

If I remember correctly from my Foreign auto parts days in years gone by, the Fiat rotors are not ventilated, are smaller and only cost about $35.00 each. I have searched for a reasonable 308 rotor and the best price I have seen is $195.00 ea. for fronts and about $275.00 or so for the rears from Partsource.

What about finding a parts car, I would call everybody and their brother trying to find a set of used ones cheap, even if you had to have them cut you might be able to still do it economically.

Actually Jay, the lada rotors wont fit because of the four studs but the later signets might or maybe a Niva cossack.

Mine are within specs but it appears that they are rotting from the inside out! The car was sitting for several years and I don't want to take any chances. Don't know about Mike's car.

Superformance in the UK has 308 rotors for about $120 each if I recall correctly. Is there interest in a group buy?

Not cheap, but they have new rotors and aftermarket cross-drilled rotors. I don't know anything about a crosslisting, unfortunately.

Does anyone here know if brake rotors from some other car (Porsche, BMW, anything?) will fit a Ferrari 308? I have been told that all 308's (carb and injected and QV) are the same.
