I agree that I dodged a bullet. I was actually going to schedule the repair in just a matter of weeks. Hoepfully the electrical gremlins will stay away for a while.

Marc,

When I first got my 90TR, I had all sorts of intermittent electrical issues, all of which went away when I put an Optima Redtop in. Was one of the most miraculous recoverys I ever witnessed.

Congrats
Scott

The dealer would have changed the battery and charged you $2700.

My 89 TR was only holding the battery charge for 7-10 days, unless I drove the car within that time frame.

Since I have had the car (4 months) the seat belt retractor on the passenger side was always stuck in the up position. I had received a quote of $2700 to repair the seat belt.

Over the weekend I replaced the battery (bad cell according to the tech) and to my suprise the seat belt started working.

Has anyone else had this same experience?
