FYI for cars with the original pump.

Inside the pump, there is a disk that spin's and has 5 small movable blades. As the pump spins this disk in a oblong hole, these blades slide out to pump the fuel. When I took the pump apart, these disks fell out. with the exception of one. I really pushed to get it out and it finally did. now it moves freely. My pump now no longer suffers from the stumbling from time to time. I believe that this frozen blade was the culprit.

It now has a strong flow.

Well,

While I was installing my replacment, I noticed a ground wire BEHIND the mounting braket on the frame. I grabbed the old pump and connected it and it started. It is pumping better then it ever has. I will be replacing it however at my 30K

Fuse box or relay problem is my guess.

Sounds like the case is misaligned and the armature is binding.

I checked with a volt meter and there is power to the connector for the pump.

it does not have the switch. It was cutting out from time to time under load. The pump is not getting power.

Acting up as How?
Does your car have a fuel pump disable under the drivers seat bypassed that might have a bad connection?

My fuel pump has been acting up. I took it off to clean it and when I hooked it back up, nothing. I checked the fuses and it looks ok.

Help!
