Sam, It is a 1985 (USA) Mondial Cab. QV They came with 273 stock HP. NORWOOD, bless his heart, put in Edelbrock fuel rails and Bosch port injectors with a Haltech ignition control computer in 1994. This brought it up to about 295 HP. This aparently was not enough,,,,, so, the previous owner had NORWOOD add a Turbo with very low boost(1/2 bar) and take off the cats. (With only 8.6 compression ratio and superior head gaskets, the 308QV's take well to turbo's.) This added about 15% more HP for a total of about 340.---------- If you double click on my name above, you can go to my chat-room profile and view a picture of the engine bay. The car is for sale and/or trade, I really want a 412i. (I am a moter head and a V12 seems tasty.) I also like the old carbed boxers, but they are to pricy for me now. I can wait though, I am a working Engineer, and this Mondial is a blast to drive and a breeze to work on. |

Edward: It's a 1982 GTSi, dropped it off last night for $7k worth of bumper to bumper service: belts, valve adjust, all new seals, AC recharge, fix window, synthetic gear and engine oil, clutch, few other items. Car is actually a very fine example, suffers from none of the 'normal' issues (doesn't run hot, starts right up hot or cold, no coolant leaks, excellent drivability)...love/hate relationship! It's just this darn door issue keeps ticking me off!! Although I will sell it down the road aways, I'm going to try to get some enjoyment out of it this summer! |

Carlo, It has nothing to do with the speakers. You pulled something loose that supplies current to the window motor. Pull off the door panel and check all wire connections including the connections to the window switches in the arm rest. Also check your fuse panel. |

Carlo, if all you did was to take the speakers out (which has Nothing to do with the window circuitry) then you much have loosen or disconnected wiring powering the window. Check in side the door again. If you pull wires, check under the dash too, between the door and dash. |

Mark- The speakers that I took out were Factory Ferrari Speakers, I'am thinking about re-installing it to see if there was some type of strange wiring, but I was looking for some other insight. Carlo |

Driver's window in my new 308 just stuck in the down position; last week the door locks failed; the week before that the exterior handled failed. I'm solving my problem by dumping this Albatrose as soon as it gets out of the shop for thr 3rd time in 6 weeks of ownership. Is the wiring to the speakers tied in to the switch somehow? If speakers are add on and not factory, installer may have tapped into the hot wire for the window switch; just a suggestion... |

Hello- A few weeks ago I took the speakers out of the doors on my 348. Then the following afternoon when I went to put down the divers side window & nothing happened. I the fuse is good, I pulled the actual switch and plugged it in for the passenger side and it works there. I have concluded that I have no power to the window as the backlighting to the switch does not come on when you turn the key. I have checked the two connections to the motor and the connection at the crak of the door. Any ideas??? Please let me know. I am happy that it is at least stuck in the full up position. I have also read that a great deal of fellow owners suffer from slow passenger windows so it is good to see that I am not alone. If you have any ideas please let me know, as I am not up to paying the dealer to trouble shoot everything I have already tried. Thanks Carlo |
